SIMOTICS GP standard motors
General purpose motors with an aluminum enclosure are suitable for a wide range of standard drive tasks in the industrial environment. The design and architecture of the motors ensure maximum flexibility and minimum installation costs. Users benefit from integral lifting eyes, screw-on feet, reinforced bearing end shields with optimum mechanical properties and easily accessible terminal boxes. Encoders, brakes and separately driven fans can also be easily added. Thanks to their especially low weight, they are predestined for applications in pumps, fans and compressors. But they can also be reliably deployed in conveyor systems and lifting gear. In addition to converter-capable line motors, two converter-optimized motor lines are available for variable-speed converter operation. For converter optimized motors you can quickly put your SIMOTICS GP motors into operation by means of a motor code for predefined converter parameters.
SIMOTICS HV C air-cooled
SIMOTICS HV C air-cooled is the new ultracompact, extremely reliable high voltage motor for applications in areas with no risk of explosion – as well as for hazardous Zones 2 and 22 (Ex ec and Ex tc). The real highlight is the revolutionary cooling concept, which is used for all air-cooled versions of this platform. Fin cooling, tube cooling and an internal cooling circuit are smartly combined. You benefit from its unique power density which is approximately 10 – 15 % higher power output from the same frame size. The innovative and vibration-optimized design concept provides you with unmatched possibilities for flexible integrating the drives in plants and systems, by reducing cabling costs in parallel. And by using the optional SIMOTICS CONNECT 600 connector box, SIMOTICS HV C can be integrated into the digital SIDRIVE IQ platform, you can leverage opportunities with digitalization and your drive system can subsequently be optimized.

SIMOTICS HV HP is a platform motor which is characterized by a unique grade of modularity and adaptability to customer specific requirements. The standardized platform concept combines the advantages of a serial production with the advantages of tailor-made solution which can be flexibly and efficiently adjusted to your requirements. With the SIMOTICS HV HP for the first time taylor-made motors of the topmost power range are available in the Siemens configuration tools: for an easy selection and configuration, accelerated offer performance and reduced efforts. With a multitude of possible options and its wide speed range SIMOTICS HV HP can cover many complex applications in various industries like oil and gas industry, chemicals, metals and marine for applications like compressors, pumps, extruders, refiner, generators and fans & blowers. The motors are optimized for DOL operation and also for operation with SINAMICS MV converters, which leads to reliable and cost effective drive systems over the whole life cycle.
